Hola,
Found some good birds this morning at Windy Point. Props to Arman Moreno for
advising me to go out there. Found two groups of breeding-plumaged Black Terns.
Walked on down to the point and immediately found a gull Jane Tillman had been
looking at earlier. Looks like a first summer Ring-billed Gull, but the bill is
longer and narrower and the legs are gray. Otherwise just as pale and same size
as RBGU perched next to it. Some pictures here:

If anyone thinks this is not a Ring-billed Gull please tell me why.
Noticed a flock of blackbirds across the way, and most were Yellow-headed. No
breeding-plumaged males though. Flyby’s included a Bank Swallow, a first-summer
Herring Gull, a pair of American Wigeon, 7 Franklin’s Gulls, and 4 Eastern
Kingbirds.
Also had a flock of three Baird’s Sandpipers that put down on the road down to
the point. I think the rain made them land asap and that’s why they were there
instead of down by the lake.

Good birding,

Christian Walker

Ring-billed Gull 2 first summer birds. One looked a bit like a CAGU, at
least with the longer thinner bill and gray legs, but I think it's just a
RBGU. It's mantle is very pale and it's the same size as the other. Here's
