I made a second try this afternoon and found the two White-winged Scoters off Wooster Point in the Baytown Nature Center at 2:50 pm. As you walk down the old road toward the point they were in the bay to the left. I didn't see any Hooded Mergansers. There was a large raft of Widgeons, Gadwalls and Shovelers to the left and further out than the Scoters. The Scoters were by themselves about 150 yards from shore. They spent almost half their time diving.
