The Bar-tailed Godwit was also visible from the Ennis Joslin side at the original site between 7 and 8am on Wednesday. The bird appeared roughly equidistant from where I was and the people on the TAMU side. Mind you the best viewing angle required some walking in wet mud and the light will definitely be better on the TAMU side later in the morning, although it was fine early, so you may be better off on the TAMU side in the morning. The area is not huge so the bird ought to be visible from either side with a good scope - choose your side based on the lighting conditions (TAMU in the morning and Ennis Joslin in the late afternoon).
