Hi, all! Only three of us braved the VNC trip this month, but the cooler weather sure felt good! Nothing out of the ordinary, but highlights include a pair of Redstarts, a Solitary Sandpiper, a Snipe, and lots of waterfowl, waders, and shorebirds in the big pond at Sabal Palm, and a nice little feeding flock at Southmost with Nashville Warblers, Indigo Buntings, and a Black-and-white. White-tailed Kites at both locations were nice, too. Some people reported problems with the tiny.url, so I'll put the normal link here; as usual you can always go to the main page and follow the Big Year links to the October page. _http://miriameaglemon.com/Big%20Year%202012/October/October%2027%20-%20Saba l%20Palm.html_ (http://miriameaglemon.com/Big%20Year%202012/October/October%2027%20-%20Sabal%20Palm.html) Enjoy!
