Just a bit of birding this AM and last eve.
.
Painted Bunting ~20 ...Young everywhere, at least 13 in my neighbor's
8-10' tall sunflowers wolfing down seeds along with cardinals, House
finches, chickadees, titmice...Also present was yesterday's Least
Flycatcher and 3 Carolina Wrens....Happening place!

The Chucks are starting to get quieter, only calling briefly in the
evening. Young screech owls whimpering in the yard last night.

One Upland Sandpiper, 2 Buff-breasted on a neighbor's place but no other
shorebirds....No where for them this summer around here. One Tri-colored
Heron was there.

3 Bronzed Cowbirds, about 8 Orchard Orioles and 3 B. G. Gnatcatchers on
Wilbarger Bend Rd. this morning and tons of Martins overhead early
