Early last week I was down at Quintana photographing migrants at the
Xeriscape Park. When I finally got around to processing the images I came
across a couple of warbler type birds that are proving difficult to
identify. The photos show relatively good detail and various angles but I
can't quite match them definitely.
When I first saw the bird in the first folder through the viewfinder I
thought it was female Black-throated Blue. But, upon closer inspection I
don't see the small black and white window on the leading edge of the wing.
The bird in the second folder I thought was a female Nashville Warbler,
mainly due to amount of gray running down the neck and back, but there
doesn't seem to be enough yellow but that may be as a result of the harsh
light.
Any body have any thoughts they'd care to share with me, I'd be very
grateful.
