Howdy All! The birding is beginning to pick up here. Mississippi Kites are still hanging around near the beaver pond. The firebreak area across from the Southside Day-use area is busy right now. I don't go by there very often that I don't hear Red-headed Woodpecker and Brown-headed Nuthatch. Yesterday on the Blackjack Nature Trail I heard a Yellow-bellied Flycatcher and was eventually able to track him down. We are getting ready to start up our Fall migration bird walks this month so come on out and join us for some birds.
