[texbirds] Tuesday morning birding, Hagerman NWR.

We finished today's bird census with 63 species.
We had only two species of shorebirds, 21 Killdeer and 3 American Avocets. On 
the road to Meadow Pond we found a Barred Owl, 4 Wild Turkeys, a Belted 
Kingfisher at Deaver,   and a couple of Prothonotary Warblers.  Summer Tanagers 
were singing at 5 different places. There were about 100 Cliff Swallows at the 
bridge near the Big Mineral area.  They were busy building nests. You should be 
able to travel thru the refuge on Bennett later in the week. We also had an 
early sighting of a Northern Harrier.
