[texbirds] Tuesday morning birding, Hagerman NWR.

Lake Texoma crested yesterday, and with the floodgates open the draw down is 
beginning.  Hopefully in a couple of weeks things will be back to normal.  We 
were not able to reach most of the areas where we usually bird, not even Meadow 
Pond. So, we had to quit a bit early today and wound up with only 56 species.  
We saw only one specie of shorebird, a single Killdeer. Some of the better 
sightings of the day were a Belted Kingfisher at Deaver Pond, Red-headed 
Woodpeckers at Dead Woman pond and the Big Mineral picnic area, a couple of 
Orchard Orioles, and an Inca Dove on the way to the Goode Area.  There were 
lots of buntings singing most every place we went. We even watched a courting 
pair of Painted Buntings.
