[texbirds] Tuesday morning bird census, Hagerman NWR.

One week away from the height of spring migration and the news is not good.  
Lake Texoma just experienced a rapid rise and the main roads thru the refuge 
are under water and closed.  On top of that,  a lot more rain is in the 
forecast. You can still get to the Goode area and the bridge at Dead Woman 
Pond, as well as the dike there are not under water.
You can still get to Meadow Pond via Meadow Pond Trail. But be advised that you 
have to use a circuitous route to get to both locations. To add insult to 
injury it was very windy. Some FOS birds today were Painted Bunting, Indigo 
Bunting, Mississippi Kite, Green Heron and Wilson's Warbler. The only 
shorebirds today were a Spotted Sandpiper on some flotsam, 2 Killdeers and a 
flyover Upland Sandpiper.
