Hello fellow birders!
Just got a report that the tropical parula is still near the Visitor Center
at Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge. It was seen several weeks ago
during the birding festival, but we hadn't had any reports since until
today. Good to know its still here!
It was seen on Kiskadee Trail, near the wooden bridge, which is fast and
easy to get to. The VC will be closed this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and
Thursday, but feel free to come visit the refuge from sunrise to sunset any
day. At the self pay station we have maps available for visitors.
If you come to the refuge and see the tropical parula, or any other rare or
interesting bird, please let us know!
