For those who didn’t know Dr. John Sharp, I would like to
say that he was a great guy and always fun to bird with.  He will certainly be 
missed.  I would like to pass along this message from
Tobi Troxell about a memorial for John that will be held tomorrow at Brazos 
Bend State Park.

Tribute to Dr. John J Sharp
Family and friends will join in a
celebration of John’s life this Sunday (1/6/13), from 1-3 PM, in the Hale Lake
Pavilion in Brazos Bend State Park. So many of us adored John and we are
looking forward to sharing memories that embrace John’s charm and joyous 
spirit
in a casual gathering in one of his favorite Texas habitats. Please dress
comfortably and bring snacks, soft drinks and fond recollections.
