Greetings All: I just got off the phone with Rich Kostecke and he let me know that he has, by dint of picking up White-breasted Nuthatch, Green-tailed Towhee, and Pine Siskin, brought his region up to 301 and is now tied with my efforts in my region. Given the weather event that is plowing into my area I am probably, barring an oddity dropping into a city playa, done for the year - I am pretty sure that my plans to visit White River Lake tomorrow are off as roads are already getting bad and don't look to get any better. The last thing Rich said was that he was staring west across some lake looking for a Herring Gull and watching the front move in so he might be done as well but still has a hopeful twinkle in his eye. Worst of all, from my perspective, getting out and about in the Austin area tomorrow is going to be far more tenable than getting out in my area tomorrow. Come what may though it isn't looking to be the stomping I expected:) Anthony 'Soon to be Iced In' Hewetson; Lubbock Edit your Freelists account settings for TEXBIRDS at //www.freelists.org/list/texbirds Reposting of traffic from TEXBIRDS is prohibited without seeking permission from the List Owner
