[texbirds] Swift Night Out at the Nature Discovery Center, Bellaire tonight 7:30

Just a reminder that we have our free Swift Night Out event tonight Sept. 5th,
2013 starting at 7:30 pm. Come and join the count! Bring mosquito repellent ad
lawn chairs if you wish. (The Mosquitoes are out in force now after the rain.)
We will have the count at the South end of the park near the playground.
Parking would be closes and easier if you use the parking lot off of Evergreen
Street right across from Evergreen Pool (just west of the intersection of
Newcastle and Evergreen Streets.)
Although we do not have huge numbers of Chimney Swifts, they do fly really low
here right over our heads so it's easy to get a good look at them before they
enter the chimneys. Thursday night I counted 23 enter this chimney.
We will have water and snacks donated by Whole Foods Bellaire!

P.S. I just saw a male Hooded Warbler and we have had some other migrants in
the park over the last few days.
The Nature Discovery Center is located in Russ Pitman Park in Bellaire TX at
7112 Newcastle between Bellaire Blvd and Evergreen St just inside Loop 610.
