Hello from the National Butterfly Center, Today at approximately 10:30am the National Butterfly Center had a pleasant and rare migratory Swallow-tailed Kite flying high over the gardens. We are currently checking to see if this is a park first. Also we are seeing hundreds of Broad-winged Hawks flying through in kettle formations. On Friday the 28th among these kettles of Broad-wing Hawks we had a Swainson's Hawk. Sandhill Cranes were reported yesterday (3-31-14) by Jeff Glassberg flying over the NBC gardens. Happy Birding!
