This morning I spent two hours at the Sugar House Pond on FM 1425 scoping and counting shorebirds. Conditions are excellent and should get better if the water continues to drop. Please don't drive up on the dike. At Delta Lake conditions for shorebirding have deteriorated a bit. The water has risen on the west side of FM 88 to a point where there is no open shoreline. Water is also starting to rise on the east side and the numbers of shorebirds have dropped greatly. No sign of the Reddish Egret.
