Howdy Texbirders,
During the "Bill" non-rain event, I decided to wander the periphery of Bear
Creek Park in search of the Wood Stork. It was along a flooded Sullins Way
with a Roseate Spoonbill nearby. Some other species of waders were present
in good numbers. Opportunism at it's finest. Lots of invertebrate rising
up I suppose.. Others species present were Little Blue Heron, Great,
Cattle, and Snowy Egrets, Black-crowned Night-Heron, White Ibis, and
Black-bellied Whistling Ducks, including a pair escorting eight ducklings
along a flooded ditch.
