[texbirds] Stopped by Devine Lake Park in Leander today around 1 p.m. Only there for a few minutes, and didn't take the scope out of the car, but still had a nice find. There was a flock of 23 Ibises on the near shore, in the newly created shorebird habitat after the rains. Got good looks with binos. Expected them to be White-faced, and couldn't find any field marks to convince me otherwise, after checking several field guides. However, if someone more knowledgeable wants to point out a glossy or two, I won't argue. Otherwise, a nice day, but nothing that hasn't been reported before--Green heron (didn't see any tricolored, but again--no scope), GB heron, Snowy egret, etc, and the Eastern Kingbirds still in the woods.
