Hi All,
I should have included a special thanks to my good friend Randy Pinkston, who
brought study skins of our regularly occurring winter sparrows.
A number of SparrowFest participants remarked how helpful it was to have these
specimens available for close inspection.
It greatly augmented their learning experience.
SparrowFest takes a village, and boy did we have the village this year.
And I'm hoping we can do it all again next year.
Check the Friends of Balcones NWR web page for updates, photos, and details,
including Songbird Festival the last weekend of April.

Good birding ya'll,
Byron Stone, Austin
