Won't have time to get any pics onto Facebook tonight, but today Pat Heirs
and I took a group of birders from Denmark over to see the Aplomado Falcons
on Old Port Isabel, a fruitless search for Wilson's Plovers at the Hwy 48
Boat Ramp, and finished the day at South Padre - along with everyone else in
the Valley! ;-) We had a nice selection of migrants (see below); warbler
highlights included Worm-eating, Cerulean, the female Blackburnian,
Yellow-throated, Hooded, Chestnut-sided, Prairie, Kentucky, and Canada.
Non-warbler hits with the group included the Painted Bunting, Rose-breasted
Grosbeak, Dickcissel, Least Bittern, and Black Skimmer.
The parking lot attendants at the Convention Centre warned us that they'll
be setting up for the biker convention tomorrow and told us that people
wouldn't be able to park there unless they were actually attending the
convention. If this information is wrong, yell at the attendant, not me.
