Among the expected warblers Brenda Inskeep and I came across on South Padre Island this morning (Nashville, Yellow, Magnolia, Blackburnian, Black-and-white, American Redstart, Northern Waterthrush, Common Yellowthroat, Hooded & Wilson's) was an earlyish western Palm Warbler at Sheepshead. The most memorable sight, though, was the host of larids on the flats just north on the Convention Center, including at least 450 Common and 1200 Black Terns.
