We spent maybe an hour yesterday at a nearby water access point. Rollover
itself is closed but most roads east and west terminate at the bay. Note that
many of these are private roads, please be respectful and use public roads. We
didn’t see the eider, though it was reassuring how many birds were still there
given the drastic changes made to the site.

Texbirds and Susan,
I'm interested in 1) if the eider species has been confirmed with hard
evidence or multiple observers and 2) whether any one has followed up since
Susan reported it for GCBO's field technician? Negative reports are just as
helpful to the birding community as positive ones. Also, where have you
searched for it given access to the actual pass is temporarily off limits?
Thank you for taking a minute to update everyone.
