Good morning everyone! Today's bird walk was welcomed with the singing of
Clay-colored Thrushes which seemed to be just about everywhere on the walk.
Northern Beardless Tyrannulet were also near by a very active portion of
chachalaca trail and willow lakes trails. On that cross section, we picked up
Northern Parula, Summer Tanager, and Baltimore Oriole. Cant forget the very
vocal Olive sparrows. Â Common Pauraque was a highlight bird for another group
we came across. Also reported from another group was 5 Groove-billed Ani at the
old headquarters and hawk tower. Fulvous whistling Duck are still hanging out
at Pintail lakes. A very great morning here on the refuge. Hope to see you out
