The feeding station on the FWS Kepler Tract next to the old Valley Land Fund site at Salineno is closing on March 23. The Kepler tract site will still be open to the public but feeding will be over. The Kepler tract site, downhill from the old VLF site and DeWind's feeding station has been run this year by Lois and Merle. They report that the Hooded Oriole is evident in town in the palms near the church. Thanks to FWS and Lois and Merle for stepping up to set up and maintain this station for the enjoyment of all.
