A striking male Bufflehead and an American Bittern were the stars of the show today at South Padre Island WBC boardwalk. There also were hundreds, perhaps thousands of Redheads, many American Wigeons, several Pied-billed Grebes, one Clapper Rail, dozens of Northern Pintails, Blue-winged Teals, Northern Shovelers, and three heron species and two of the Egrets.
