D. D. Currie and I hit the South Unit first. Had the most Tennessee Warblers ever away from the coast. While we were there, Ed Wetzel was finding Black Terns at the north Unit. We missed them, but caught up with him just after he got a photo in cell 4 (Navarro) of a Purple gallinule. We heard only. But later in same spot had Least Bittern. Willet flock in cell 17. Glossy Ibis still hanging in cells 14, 15 or Shoveler Marsh near entrance. Wilson Phalaropes everywhere. Many Yellow-headed Blackbirds. Rookery in Carroll Lake north of Cell 18 includes several Anhinga and Neotropic Cormorant. Sora galore. Warbling Vireo in north woods (Navarro) Marbled Godwit with a different flock of Willet east end of Hwy 287 bridge across Richland Chambers Res. Full bird log of day below. Richland Creek Cell maps can be found at texascenturyclub.org Freestone or Navarro County pages. The place is large. All gates are open. Permit info found on County pages also. Chuck-will's-widows starting to sing outside here in Henderson County. That's 127 for the day. dellel BirdLog Checklist Summary for: May 3, 2014 to May 3, 2014 Number of Checklists: 10 Number of Species: 126 Checklists included in this summary: (1): US-TX-Corsicana-2900 US-287 Date: May 3, 2014, 6:25 AM (2): Richland Chambers Reservoir- FM309 Boat ramp Date: May 3, 2014, 7:16 AM (3): Richland Crk WMA (S.
