Water has been flowing into the resaca. While Ebony deck resaca was dry a few days ago, the water level is now over three feet. As water continues to move throughout the resaca this will drop fairly quickly, but there should be good levels throughout. Already water is arriving at the Flycatcher and South Mexican Olive deck areas. Least Bitterns are still easy to find from Yellowthroat Trail. For Yellow-billed Cuckoos try taking a stroll down South Mexican Olive or the North Mexican Olive Loop. Groove-billed Ani can be seen or heard throughout the park but can be easiest to locate along the tram road between Mesquite and South Mexican Olive. Happy Birding!
