Painted Bunting are out in the open singing once again. Three adult males
were seen today. A Ringed Kingfisher was at the west end of White-winged
Dove after a long absence. No Green Kingfishers today, but we found a nice
variety of waders and more Least Grebe than have been seen in quite a
while. Plenty of swallows are around - mostly Cave. There may not be an
Ani in every bush, but it's difficult to venture into the park without
seeing at least a few up close. With overcast skies, a nice breeze, and
plenty of water in the resaca it was a great day to be birding.
