Apologies for the late post. Saturday morning turned out to be quite
interesting, with a few unexpected arrivals ahead of the front, including a
single Mississippi Kite. Other surprises included several calling
Yellow-bellied Flycatchers (Yellowthroat Loop) and a large number of
Orchard Orioles (everywhere! but largest numbers near second bridge).
The morning started with a calling Clay-colored Thrush. This year they
have been heard at regular intervals, but not seen. A male Green
Kingfisher has been either at the first or second bridge for several days.
As the water level drops, the second bridge become the more likely spot.
Two Spotted Sandpipers were near the Ebony Deck.

Groove-billed Anis, Plain Chachalacas, Green Jays and many other nesting
birds have many vocal and entertaining young throughout the park.
