[texbirds] Report on BCAS Field Trip

April 5, 2014 Lost Pines Boy Scout Camp (FM 1441) and Sayers Road. 8:00 AM
-1:00PM. A great day of birding, with temperatures ranging from 530 to 610
F, cloudy, and a slight breeze. There were a baker's dozen birders, and we
identified 57 species of birds. The group watched a Bald Eagle chase an
Osprey and steal its catch. A Little Blue Heron was found on the far shore
of the lake while a Marsh Wren burbled directly in front of us in the reeds.
On Sayers Road we were able to watch a Great Horned Owl in old pecans. We
finished the day being treated to seven Upland Sandpipers with a Crested
Caracara on the ground in the background. List of Birders include Linda S,
