Can anyone give me an address for a Monk Parakeet nest between downtown Houston and the North Loop? Or Beltway? I know several in SW Houston but it would be more convenient for our exotics senior bus trip from Kleb Woods if I had a location in north Houston. BTW, we have some empty seats for this trip. If you would like to join us the trip is free. You must be 50 years old or more. The bus will leave the Kleb Woods parking lot this Friday June 7 at 7:00 AM, so please get here before then with enough time to use the restroom and get settled on the bus. We will be travelling to different parts of Houston looking for exotic bird species. Target species include Orange Bishop, Nutmeg Mannikin, Orange-cheeked Waxbill, Monk Parakeet, Peacock, Red-vented Bulbul, and Egyptian Goose. We will eat lunch at BB's Café in the Heights, so please bring money for that. Meals cost $10-20. We may also stop at a Dairy Queen in the afternoon. The bus will return to Kleb Woods around 5:00 PM. Please e-mail to reserve a seat if you are interested in joining us.
