Greetings All:
How I envy you folk:) I worked with Northern Goshawks for two season
(including measuring nest-site variable - which put me in close proximity
to irritated, adult goshawks) and with all sorts of owls for several field
seasons (including Great Horned Owls, Western Screech Owls, and Spotted
Owls - again, measuring nest-site variables) - and have never had blood
drawn. An adult goshawk took my field hat off my head once - but that's it.

On the other hand, I did have a Bewick's Wren fly directly into my head one
time - while I was measuring nest-site variables - startling me and
grounding the wren. I picked the little bugger up and, after a few tense
moments, it kind of shook things off and flew away.

Don't ask me about feral pigs, though, those dudes are fearless.
