[texbirds] Port Aransas Thayer's Gull

This morning at about 1030 I had a first winter Thayer’s gull about ½ mile
south of the Jetty.  The Thayer's Gull seen well in vicinity of Ring-billed
Gulls and Laughing Gull. Larger than Ring-billed Gull but smaller than
Herring Gull also seen in vicinity. Head was more rounded than Herring Gull
and bill was smaller than Herring Gull. This bird exactly matches picture
plate 285 in Gulls of North America, Klaus Olsen and Hans Larsson.
