As promised the full report from the Plains II BBS, completed on 6 June
2015. This route runs eastward from a point north of Plains, then
southward along the Yoakum/Terry County Line to the end - well
south-southeast of Plains. The route was not bad in terms of flooding but
a portion will have to be replotted where several miles of the county line
road have been lost to dunes encroaching from the west. This was the
driest of the six routes run this year and it showed the least recovery
from drought of any of the routes ... though Northern Bobwhites, Western
Kingbirds, Cassin's Sparrows, and Grasshopper Sparrows were all in far
better numbers than I would have expected during recent, drought-afflicted
