Went out to retrieve the newspaper at 7:45 AM, and was astounded at the number of warblers in the six live oak trees in my front yard! I was able to id the following in about ten minutes of watching, and more are coming in right now. Kentucky, Canada, Yellow-throated, Magnolia, Blackburnian, female Bay breasted, female Chestnut sided. And an E. Wood Pewee I am going back outside, this should last a while, since more birds are dropping out of the sky. I live 30 miles from the coast, so anything closer to the coast should be having a bonanza of warblers today. P. S. I measured 6 inches of rain in my rain gauge at 7 AM. The rain has stopped.
