All western Gulf stations are showing W winds right around 30 knots. The
reflective matter in the atmosphere is mostly moving at the wind speeds
meaning that most visible matter is not birds. However there is some
scattered reflectance moving above wind speeds that is birds. There are
also scattered raptor flocks between Corpus Christi and Falfurrias. These
are the kind of winds that carry migrants well inland so I don't expect
many to drop into traditional coastal stop overs.
