I was driving through the Corpus Christi area late this afternoon and I checked Tule Lake and Hazel Bazemore, spending about an hour at each. I was looking primarily for shorebirds and counted 13 species at Tule and 9 at Hazel Bazemore, including 5 not seen at Tule, so 18 for the afternoon. Also had 12 Wood Storks at Tule and a Green Kingfisher and Solitary Sandpiper at HB. Complete lists follow.
