Hey there,
Spent a few hours birding in NE Dallas Co this morning, hitting North Lake and
McInnish Park. The eBird checklist for the latter is included below. North Lake
was pretty slow but did have a pair of Hooded Mergansers and a Forsters Tern.
On the way to McInnish Park passed some flooding fields along Starleaf Street,
which had snipe, both yellowlegs, and some ducks and herons including a Little
Blue Heron.
McInnish Park was busy. Best birds were a male Cinnamon Teal in with a flighty
flock of Blue-winged Teal, and 5 American Golden-Plovers on one of the soccer
fields. I believe these were found earlier in the week.
