Hi, all!

Birded Wallace Road, North Bryan Road, and 13 Mile to the entrance to Lake
Edinburg where I was stopped by a "lake" across the road... It was cold
(37) and overcast, but only a gentle breeze was blowing, so it was tolerable
for road birding! The conditions weren't conducive to photography, so no
pictures today, but eventually had some nice birds including a single
Sprague's Pipit along North Bryan, a couple of Least Flycatchers along the
trail
in the actual tract area (also surprised a herd of Peccaries), and an
American Robin along the west side of 13 Mile that got flagged by EBird!
(Also
had two Hermit Thrushes along there...) Was also surprised that a
1000-bird flock of Rock Pigeons feeding in a field got flagged as well; I
brought
it down to 800 and it still didn't like it... The biggest surprise was a
flooded field along North Bryan that had a good selection of ducks, a few
shorebirds, and both expected goose species flying overhead! (Had four
Sandhill Cranes flying over Wallace earlier...) Bunches of Caracaras were
following a tractor around on Mile 13 (the east side by the orchards), but no
White-tailed Hawks today.
