Upper level winds continue to crank up from around 40 kt. at Brownsville
and Corpus Chrisiti to around 30 at Lake Charles with a steep (typical, but
due to factors I don't understand) drop to 12 kt. at New Orleans.
Brownsville NEXRAD is unfortunately down for upgrading and so will be out
of commission during the peak of the spring migration season.
At noon Houston and Lake Charles were showing the formation of the halo
signature that indicates that migrating birds were beginning to overfly
their antenna sites and continue inland. Corpus nor New Orleans were
showing definite bird targets making landfall.
