Yellow-throated Vireos do not need mesic enivirons here. Some even singing
on territory from drier habitat almost suitable for Black-cappeds.
Surprised there are so many. Very common. Don't see singing alternate
Lark Buntings in Cen-Tex very often on May 8 but they are common right
now.... Still good numbers of winter sparrows...Cassin's are fairly common
too. Singing Vespers still.. The 4 species of Orioles especially
Bullock's are singing where habitat will support them, Scott's = my fav.
A territorial Acadian Fly on territory in in both Co.s caught me off guard
but don't know why it should.
