On the theme of late warblers: I saw at close range a Magnolia Warbler this morning during our bird survey work on a close tract of the Lower Rio Grande Valley National Wildlife Refuge, near Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park. No other late migrants were around, but I thought June 11 was quite a late date for any spring warbler migrant. Was listening for Yellow-green Vireos, but none so far this "spring" for us. We had a few last year, so we hope to find some as we continue with our June surveys.
