Greetings All:
I spent Monday morning revisiting Tahoka Lake Pasture (as the previous
day's afternoon visit had been hot and a bit disappointing) and the
Wolfforth Wetlands in Lubbock County.
The morning visit to Tahoka Lake Pasture was pretty good and highlights
included 3 Blue-winged Teals, 4 Least Sandpipers, 4 Semipalmated
Sandpipers, 11 Western Sandpipers, 1 Western Wood Pewee, 1 Least
Flycatcher, 1 Gray Flycatcher, 2 Ash-throated Flycatchers, 1 *Cassin's
Vireo*, 2 Northern Rough-winged Swallows, 2 Cave Swallows, 1 Lesser
Goldfinch, 1 Vesper Sparrow, 4 Savannah Sparrows, 3 Yellow-breasted Chats,
2 Yellow-headed Blackbirds, 1 female Orchard Oriole, 1 MacGillivray's
Warbler, 2 Common Yellowthroats, 4 Yellow Warblers, 6 Wilson's Warblers,
and 1 immature male Indigo Bunting.
Highlights from the Wolfforth Wetlands: 4 Blue-winged Teals, 7 Lesser
Yellowlegs, 3 Greater Yellowlegs, 4 Wilson's Phalaropes, 1 Great Egret, 2
Snowy Egrets, 1 Green Heron, 67 White-faced Ibises, and 3 Yellow-headed
