Lubbock Whip-poor-wills:
On October 5th I found fresh remains of 2 Whip-poor-wills on a road on the
northeastern outskirts of Lubbock. One was intact and the other was just a
wing. Both may have hit an overhead wire or they may have been hit by cars.
On October 9th my husband, Tom, observed another dead Whip-poor-will in the
front yard of a house on the northeast side of town.
On October 11th, 1 Whip-poor-will flushed at my feet on the northeast side
of town.
On October 9th, 1 Whip-poor-will flushed at my feet near the southwest side
of town.
