A female Long-tailed duck was found at the Inks Dam National Fish Hatchery on
Friday and is there again today.

The IDNFH is just south of Inks Lake State Park on Park Road 4 in Burnet County
west of Austin.

The hatchery is open from 7 am to 3:30 pm seven days a week.

Sure hope she's still there next Friday when we will be conducting the
Christmas Bird Count in Burnet County.

I will follow with a photograph courtesy of Sue Kersey.

The bird was found during a set up for a presentation by Doris Mager, "The
Eagle Lady," hosted by the Friends of IDNFH.
