I was inspired to check out the local golf course in Edinburg this evening,
and was rewarded by some neat shrike activity.

The juvenile shrike didn't quite seem to know what to do with the lizard
(looks like a Brown Anole) that it caught. It picked at it for a good 5-10
minutes, then shifted to try to impale it on two different substrates (as
seen in video). It eventually just dropped the lizard and hung out. The
whole time, another juvenile shrike was watching from a nearby willow.

Ah the joys of learning about hunting!
