A male Wilson's Warbler was at the low water crossing on CR 177. This is a
hard place to find a place to park but it is pretty birdy and looks like a
place that a Rusty is possible.....But there is more traffic than I like.
The crossing has shallow water going over it and is single lane. You have
to bird from the ROW
There is a loon on Grand Lake but it is far out by the dam which in the
morning is looking directly into the sun. I presume it is the default
Common and probably the same bird I saw as a flyover at Res. 2 a couple of
weeks ago. I took photos into the sun which may show it in silhouette but
have not gone thru those yet. You likely will need an owl tape for the
warbler
SW Regional Park trails...so very dead, nothing at pond at all except a
YRWA.
Ponds to the north of there at entrance to subdivision on 175 also dead
except for 3 RNDUs.
RES. 2 Had ducks but nothing special
Golden-fronted Wood was at Peggy Park on the pole at the extreme NW corner
of park.
Beautiful morning to be out though.
