Another good weekend for the Local Patch Challenge. I count 20 patches over 100 species now, and I'm sure there are several others not on eBird. Winter will be winding down and I expect most of us will be target birding, trying to locate those winter species before they leave.Time to make a list of those birds we have expected and not found yet! I have about 10 species in mind I need to find ASAP before spring gets here. Activity has been high. I was just curious how many gallons of gas this challenge has save?. Each gallon of gas not burned saves about 20 pounds of CO2 emissions. I myself have likely saved 15-20 gallons of gas or 300-400 pounds of CO2, and I get to bird a lot more! I'm curious, what has been the best bird in your patch? -- David Sarkozi Houston, TX (713) 412-4409 twitter ID dsarkozi Edit your Freelists account settings for TEXBIRDS at //www.freelists.org/list/texbirds Reposting of traffic from TEXBIRDS is prohibited without seeking permission from the List Owner
