So, yesterday afternoon I went by the retention/flood control "ponds" on Great Northern Blvd parallel to Mopac. If there was two+ inches of standing water, it would be perfect. I checked the little patch of woods for dead/exhausted migrants with the strong winds. A few Clay-colored Sparrows were around the grassy exterior. This morning at Dottie-Jordan Park, a male Blue Grosbeak, two Northern Waterthrush (one heard), and a Willow Flycatcher (calling). Not very windy but no other migrants.
