The gulls have left but there remain a load of shorebirds as of about
3PM....Well over 100 Am. Golden Plovers, ~35-40 Uplands, a dew
Buff-breasted, Sprague's Pipit and others. When we left there were 7-8
folks there so a better count may be forth-coming...Leander..

Fallout in Leander....Diane and I got into the mother load of good
birds......Good stuff for this far west of I-35. The large tilled field
where the future ACC campus is going to be built was hoping With 300+
Franklin's Gulls , at least 3 Buff-breasted Sandpiper, 20 Uplands, 12

Also my FOS Dickcissels numerous Scissortails and 5 Western Kingbirds that

way out of its banks along with BWTE and Rough-winged
Swallows..Yellow-headed Blackbirds..The rain was pouring down so no real
good photos as we got soaked when out of the Rav 4. This field definitely
should be checked today and we may return with a scope once and if the
rains cease, and checked from Mel Mathis which has very little traffic..
BBSAs this far west of 35 are the stuff of dreams.
